Sinopsis:

El científico Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) está buscando desesperadamente una cura para la radiación de rayos gammas que ha envenenado sus células y que desata una furia desenfrenada dentro de sí mismo: Hulk. Banner ha estado viviendo en la sombra, apartado de la vida y de la mujer que ama, la Dra. Elizabeth “Betty” Ross (Liv Tyler). Viviendo como un fugitivo para evitar la obsesiva persecución de la que es objeto por parte de su némesis, el General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross ( William Hurt), él es consciente de que la maquinaria militar que está buscándolo para capturarlo y explotar brutalmente su poder, está siempre sobre sus talones. Mientras los tres forcejean con los secretos que llevaron a la creación de Hulk, se tienen que enfrentar a un nuevo y despiadado adversario: la “Abominación”, un ser monstruoso que posee una fuerza destructiva que supera incluso la de Hulk. Y para derrotar a este villano, el científico debe tomar una decisión crítica: aceptar su pacífica vida como Bruce Banner o encontrar al héroe en la criatura que vive en su interior.
